Ten stories of hero survivors are told in this book. Six are from the World Trade Center, three from the Pentagon, and one from Flight 93. While this book is written for kids, it doesn’t sugar coat the chaos and death and destruction of that day. I highly recommend Heroes of 9/11 to middle grade kids.
10 True Tales: Heroes of 9/11 (Ten True Tales) Fantastic Book! I teach middle school and I read 11 different books about 9/11. I began reading this book, but then the students wanted to read it, which I let them. They kept talking about the stories among themselves. That's when you know it is a fantastic book.
My 11 year old son loves these books and this book is great for AR tests in school.
